National Rural Health Mission

The mission has strengthened public health system by increasing community Mother and Child Care through NRHM participation, adding to human resources in the system, improving health infrastructure, improving public health management and increasing public expenditure on health.

Under the Janini Suraksha Yojana, over 78 lakh deliveries were coverd during 2009-10(till December 2009), enabling women to come to health institutions for safer  deliveru, All disease control programmes showed sustained improvement.
