Why I joined PGDJMC ?

Journalism & Mass Communication was the different field for me . I never thought that I will go in this field. It is all about media where Electronic and Print media both come and media is that kind of place where the challenges take place daily. Mass communication is the way of exchanging ideas , knowledge, skills and communicating with one another and also to give information to the audience.This field is very good because in it you can learn a lot of things like make  advertising, how to click photography, make public relation ,documentaries, Radio jockey and new anchor. I love to teach and I didn’t want to join this course but after joining, I realize that I did right to join it. My interest was in teaching and want to become a teacher but now I thought that I can make my carrier in it because it has both electronic and print media .I realized that nothing is impossible it you don’t come forward to do it. Everything is possible if u want to do it .

The Game

In Kabaddi, two teams compete with each other for higher scores, by touching or capturing the players of the opponent team. Each team consists of 12 players, of which seven are on court at a time, and five in reserve. The two teams fight for higher scores, alternating defence and offense. The court is as large as that for a dodge ball game. The game consists of two 20 minute halves, with a break of five minutes for change of sides.

The kabaddi playing area is 12.50m x 10m, divided by a line into two halves. The side winning the toss sends a 'raider', who enters the opponents' court chanting, 'kabaddi-kabaddi'. The raider's aim is to touch any or all players on the opposing side, and return to his court in one breath. The person, whom the raider touches, will then be out. The aim of the opposing team, will be to hold the raider, and stop him from returning to his own court, until he takes another breath. If the raider cannot return to his court in the same breath while chanting 'kabaddi', he will be declared out. Each team alternates in sending a player into the opponents' court. If a player goes out of the boundary line during the course of the play, or if any part of his body touches the ground outside the boundary, he will be out, except during a struggle.

The mission has strengthened public health system by increasing community Mother and Child Care through NRHM participation, adding to human resources in the system, improving health infrastructure, improving public health management and increasing public expenditure on health.

Under the Janini Suraksha Yojana, over 78 lakh deliveries were coverd during 2009-10(till December 2009), enabling women to come to health institutions for safer  deliveru, All disease control programmes showed sustained improvement.

Broadband Specturm Auction Ends, Govt Gets Rs 38,300 crore

The government raised over Rs 38,300 crore as the 16 day long auction for Boardband Wireless Access (BWA) spectrum came to an end. The details of the BWA auction winners are still awaited from the Department of Telecom. The total revenue of the government from sale of spectrum for both 3G and BWA stands at over Rs 1.06 lakh crore by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee in his Budget speech in February this year.

Transparency International (TI), an organization leading the fight against corruption , has ranked India 87  in the 2010 Corruption Perceptions Index ( CPI) with 3.3 points out of the worst possible 10,while Denmark, New Zealand and Singapore tie for first place with scores of 9.3.

 Unstable governments, often with a legacy of confict, continue to dominate the bottom rungs of the CPI, a measure of domestic and public sector corruption.

 Afghanistan and Myanmar share second to last place with a score of 1.4, with Somalia coming in the last with a score of 1.1.

72,000 Villages More to get Banking Services

Banking services will be extened to about 72,000 villages in the country with a population of over 2,000 by March 2012, according to Deputy Governor,Reserve Bank of India Thorat.

According to Usha Thorat, of the six lakh villages in the country about 1 lakh had a population above 2,000. Of these,72,000 villages did not have banking services. RBI had launched a programme to extend banking services to every unbanked village.

RBI was giving special incentives to banks for the financial inclusion programme in north-eastern states by providing satellite links and subsidy.
